Speech Class

Just felt like sharing something funny that happened in speech class this morning.

We were talking about the differences between specific purpose statements and thesis statements. We had to give examples for a frying pan our teacher held up. For SPS, people were calling out things like "it fries bacon" "it fries eggs". Then I added, "you could hit someone in the head with it". Of course that would be what occurs to me. So then, when we were coming up with a thesis statement, someone said, "It fries bacon, eggs and you can hit John in the head with it." Which then led to people adding at the end of their sentences "you can hit John with it".

I'm really liking this class even though the reading is really boring.
